Have added 64GB microSD; it is formatted to FAT32. Do not see that in About Product. How do I copy files to microSD?

Thank you, I would rather wait for an more robust access method instead.
What you mean by "robust". Directory is a directory and is known, so you can access it from any file manager you want.

See https://together.jolla.com/question/1888/add-optional-access-to-external-sd-card-from-android-app/ for more details
you could also
ln -s /run/user/100000/media/sdcard /mnt/sdcard
don't have my device handy right now but you may have to become root to be able to run that command if /mnt does not exist yet create it first or use any other location of your convienience
