In the "Messages" conversation log with a contact i cant see anywhere which of their multiple numbers I used ...all messages to/from that client get jumbled together in one conversation list without any way to check eg did I sent the text message to their mobile phone as I intended or did I mistakenly use their landline. Similarly in the phone call history.

Messages: Pull left and the contact's info is shown. The number the message came from/was sent to is highlighted. Though I must say I don't know how it works if several numbers of the same contact have been used in the conversation; it would make sense that it's the last one, but not sure.

Phone: If you have Settings > Apps > Phone > Quick call disabled, you can tap on the contact name in the log, and you see the contact info page; the number the call came from/went to is highlighted.

Hello and thanks for the suggestion. This doesnt seem to work reliably for me however. Also as above even if it did it would be nice to be able to check for any message sent/received, not just the last one.

Regarding the phone call history, there is a solution. Just install this patch: https://openrepos.net/content/schturman/calllog-patch

Or install patchmanager and have a simpler way to enable and disable modifications. Remember to disable them before doing system updates. And having them as discrete package seems like a good way of forgetting one or two patches.

Hello and thanks for the suggestion which I appreciate. I consider this an integral part of the phone software (or should be) and am hesitant to install any third party software which might mess my phone up. It does clearly state "Beware, use it on your own risk !!!"

You're right, this should be part of the phone software. But you don't have to be afraid to mess up your phone. Backup it before and reset it in the worst case. I'm happy with the patch.

For messages, tap "change type" in bottom right. The highlighted is the one previous message used and next message will use. Here you can change to the number/service you want without leaving the thread.

Personally I prefer the unified message view in my Jolla.

Hi. Thanks for the suggestion. However this only allows one to check the number used for the last message sent. It would be nice to be able to check for any message sent/received
