I would like the clock app to have a simpler alarm clock as an option, where the alarm just goes off the next time the set time is reached, and is then forgotten. Some probably would suggest using the timer, but I don't really want to have to calculate the hours and minutes, every time, between "now" and the moment I'm forcefully awoken from my much- needed sleep :)

Thoughts behind request: I work mostly evenings/ nights (I'm a bartender), and because of my late-afternoon daily schedule I really don't have the need for a daily/ weekly alarm at the moment, and when I do have to use the alarm clock, the time and day I set it to often vary. Setting a new time obviously isn't the issue, but when you use the alarm clock on a now-and-then- basis, the need to remember to always set the correct day becomes slightly annoying (as I'm more used to single- use alarms from previous phones I've had).

[Edit] Question closed, thanks to @HarhaanJohtaja' s quick answer. On some level the issue still remains, as the alarm interface visuals suggest, that you have to choose a day.

You don't have to choose a day.

I agree with that. I thought for a long time you had to specify the day each time.
