Currently there is no notification(visual or audible or haptic) after Jolla is connected(or connection unsuccessful) to BT headset. Also there is no UI icon indicating BT headset connection or its state.

N9 for example plays a nice sound when connecting/disconnecting from BT headset and shows a brief system notification about the the event.

YES! This is definetly needed. I simply can't see any reason why Jolla has not included any notification. This just simply seem terrible UI desing. Then again there were really much problems with WiFi and Bluetooth to begin with, so maybe this is also related. I still feel that the whole WiFi/bluetooth connectivity from view of reliability and functionality is probably the worst I have ever seen on any phone. Phones 5 years older do 100 times better job handling WiFi/Bluetooth...

Hello, You may have a problem with your phone. I have my Jolla since 27nov2013 (The First One) and both connections (WiFi and Bluetooth) are very good, I did not encounter any problem.

The bluetooth notification is present (not very visible thought), actually when the bluetooth indication in notification bar is full (white), bluetooth accessory is connected. Same as other notification icons, they are white when active.

Hope helped, Cheers, Chris

@christian-emlek We are not discussing a connection problem here, but status notifications. And yes, we know about the bluetooth icon, but this is far from being a clear presentation. For me a nice sound when connection established(and may be a slight vibration burst) and status message, e.g. "Connected to XXXX BT headset" in upper part of screen are needed. Then while connected a headset icon should indicate the state. Also disconnection sound, feedback and message will be welcomed.
