There is problem with whatsapp android version. You do not get notification when you receive new message.I have tried to keep app running, but it won't work.Whatsapp is really big app at the moment and Jolla should take care of this problem.I had also problem with phone numbers with Whatsapp.Sailfish phone book is weird. There is option where you name contact and when i imported from sim card it puts names to nicknames.Whatsapp needs it to be on First name and Last name to detect name and phone number ,but only showing name when chatting with Whatsapp.

There is already a post about the notification problem: https://together.jolla.com/question/1394/whatsapp-notification/

Is there any reason you aren't using Mitäkuuluu (a native Whatsapp client)? For reference: https://openrepos.net/content/coderus/mitakuuluu

I get notification when there is a new WhatsApp message. In WhatsApp I keep all the conversations open...maybe thats the answer?

I have tried to keep them open. Not working for me,and why should there be this "mitäkuuluu" app when Jolla spent time for this android compatibility. Some Jolla users seems to be 10 year old suggesting just use android phone. Why would i if this phone if far more interesting and unique?Whatsapp is only android app i need.

"why should there be this "mitäkuuluu" app when Jolla spent time for this android compatibility"

I don't know, maybe because people don't want to use Android apps? If WhatsApp is the only Android app you need I really see no reason for not using Mitäkuuluu instead. Why would you not want a native app when there is one available?

I agree with Ardenderi. Mitakuuluu is not as good as Whatsapp for many reasons. It uses more baytery n heats up the phone.
