Hi guys,

I was analysing my disk space usage, and found out that the backups where a huge space consumer, all because of the gallery backup which probably backs up all the photos and videos from the camera.

So if you're having low disk space problems, don't forget to look for your backups, I mean if you're like me and have all pictures and videos backed up on the computer, then you probably don't want to keep any gallery backup.

What I did, and am going to do from now on is to backup everything except the gallery, which I always backup on the computer anyway.

Doing this saved me 2GB of space usage

Hope this helps anyone.

Having photos backed up is one side of the medal. When you have a bunch of videos on your device, a backup will consume way more space. What about separate choices for backing up photos and videos?

@lechris - Good idea. You should probably open a new request for asking separate options for photos and videos.

There was also a bug that the backup data wasn't deleted if you deleted it in the UI in a later Sailfish version. So you should delete all the backup data (using Sailfish Utilities) to delete all the old undeleted data. :)

Also, option to delete backups to free disk space (Settings > System > Backup > Select snapshots > Select All from pulley menu) is available now.
