[Request] Option to swipe down to close the screen everywhere [released]
Use scenario: Swipe down to close apps is a nice feature. But if one mostly uses only a specific set of apps, closing those is not very useful.
To reflect the scenario it would be nice to have an option to change the swipe down
to close the screen directly from any view or application. Currently the closing of the screen from inside of application requires a swipe from the side and then swipe down. Alternate way eg. press of a power button closes the screen immediately but is not as comfortable as swiping down.
UPDATE 24 Sep 2015: Closed this old request, as basic functionality is now there in version 1.1.9.28. Locking is possible when swipe to close feature is disabled. Requires tap after top swipe, but I suppose one can use unofficial patches to achieve the requested behavior. Personally I'm happy with the swipe from top and tap to close as it does not require repositioning of thumb.

Also the original suggestions in the other thread wouldn't be _too_ complicated, although visually a bit cluttery. It would be nice to have as an option if swipe down to close the screen would be already used up for closing the screen. My votes for both.
