BUG: accessing browser favorites (possibly) not working

If you load or reload a page and tap on the x while it is (re)loading I get to a screen where I can enter search terms or URLs but can never access my favorites. Only way out so far: close the browser, open again, wait until it has loaded the page and then tap on the tabs icon.

I agree it is a usability issue. However, there is another "workaround" which might be cheaper in terms of effort: just select a URL from the history when you are in the "New tab" view, the tab will start loading, you can go back to your tabs and see your favourites.
