This post is a wiki. Anyone with karma >75 is welcome to improve it.
A request or suggestion: 1: the case / frame [metal] needs to be tougher. I've dropped mine a couple of times and the metal work has damaged quite easily. It seems to be quite "soft" and the paint has chipped easily. 2: The speak volume needs more..... oomph. I have missed a number of calls when the Jolla has been in my pocket because I just don't hear it. As a test, when I play music and put my finger over the speaker it is almost silent. By comparison my N9 is much louder / seems to have more "power". 3: screen. I originally said this was fine but I'd like to change thst view. The screen on thr N9 was wonderful. It was the blackest black Ive seen on a screen. Jolla deserves the N9 screen.....
Lots of suggestions already under this question: https://together.jolla.com/question/19564/jolla-2nd-device-hw-suggestions/
(IMO better to have all of these there in the same place and not as separate questions, though feel free to disagree...)
ssahla ( 2014-09-25 22:20:29 +0200 )editDunno where you got your Jolla from ... mine's made from plastic, not metal? :-o Edit: oh you mean the metal plating on the top half. Well it's painted and plated ... tbh, that's better than solid low grade crude alumium (like the iphone 6), if you're dropping or bashing your phone about, that would show much more ugly wear and tear (obvious bends and dents), than chips or abrasions.
