Just got my new Jolla phone. Been trying to get it to connect to my home wifi (Belkin Router) and keep getting the message - "Sorry, Could not connect to selected network". Tried with WPA2-PSK, WPA-PSK and without encryption - none of these seem to work. Tried to ssh to the phone and update the wifi settings files directly and that didn't work as well. Any thoughts on how to resolve this?

I'm no expert, but my Jolla has refused to connect to various wifi networks which have identical protocols and settings to ones which work. There seems to be little rhyme or reason. Also, wifi reception is APPALLING. 3m from my router, the Jolla has only 2 bars. 5m away in my bedroom it shows no bars and connects and disconnects all the time. The Sony Z3C I just got will connect to the wifi (just about) from the street, through massive thick walls and about 25m away. Have you tried standing right by the router and seeing if it'll work?

There's a bug when connecting to one Wifi with multiple AP. I'm not sure what your home setup is. You double checked for the obvious mistake (wrong key)? Can you connect to some other wifi network (e.g. a friend's)?

Thanks for the suggestions!

I've tried from right next to the wifi router to ensure there is no reception issue and made sure that the key is typed in correctly (with the 'abc' mode). I also tried making my home network unsecure (without encryption) to check if that works. None of these worked.

The multiple AP bug could be the issue though. Have a repeater in the home network. Is there a work around for this? Is this getting fixed anytime soon?

Not much to tell without logs - connman (journal) and/or wpa (wpa_cli) logs are needed to take a better look at your problem. Repeater is not a second AP, client management is on the repeated AP just like there was no second hardware (usually). To test if it is a problem of your setup, deactivate secondary hardware for the time being.

@Arasu: yes, issues with multiple APs should be fixed in the next update: https://together.jolla.com/question/47764/bug-jolla-loses-wi-fi-connection-after-a-while/?answer=56888#post-id-56888

Not sure if the issue I'm facing is the same. I've not been able to connect to my home wifi even once. The problems described here look more like issues around disconnecting frequently.

Should I get any additional logs to look into this?

Does the following from wpa_supplicant.log provide any info? wlan0: Trying to associate with SSID 'AVHomeWifi' wlan0: Associated with 94:44:52:3a:0f:d1 wlan0: WPA: Key negotiation completed with 94:44:52:3a:0f:d1 [PTK=CCMP GTK=CCMP] wlan0: CTRL-EVENT-CONNECTED - Connection to 94:44:52:3a:0f:d1 completed [id=0 id_str=] wlan0: CTRL-EVENT-DISCONNECTED bssid=94:44:52:3a:0f:d1 reason=3 locally_generated=1 wlan0: CTRL-EVENT-REGDOM-CHANGE init=USER type=COUNTRY alpha2=IN

What does 'reason=3 locally_generated=1' mean?
