When I connect to my (ubuntu) pc I cannot find the sdcard. I want to copy at least the backup to my pc in case my phone gets stolen etc. Or is there another way to backup all data to a PC?

I did not have any luck with that either, but as I hate MTP anyway, I connect my filebrowser with sftp to my Jolla and copy anything I need, just not USB. scp, rsync, sftp as you like - you need developer mode for ssh though.

Thanks for answering. I am looking for regular user solution. I do promote Jolla to my friends, but simple items as this should be there. I would even be willing to create such an app, but Jolla does not allow apps to access the data :-(

I think, I hope, it'll be easier (general non-geek consumer-friendly ;D) when they launch "younited" so it'll be possible to store back-up in a cloud server.

Just removed younited. It's android. Works on that file system. My data is on the Sailfish part.

Oh, sorry, I guess I didn't make myself clear. I didn't mean younited as android-app. Jolla has established a partnership with younited for Sailfish from what I understood.

duplicate to https://together.jolla.com/question/53/how-user-can-take-backups-out-of-device/

ok the path has changed, your sdcard is mounted under /media/sdcard/card-UUID/

You can also use git clone ~/.vault and rsync ~/.vault/blobs to take a full backup directly. Initially I thought I had linked that issue ;-(

that is outdated as it references the wrong (old) path
