[Bug] Android does not "see" my music

Is there any way to force Android media library to index my music?

I have Beat Hazard installed and it shows only the few tunes it brought itself - completely ignoring all the music I have on my SD card.

  • With Media app open I removed my SD Card - all songs disappeared
  • With Media app still open I reinserted my SD Card - songs appeared again

After doing that my songs are available in Beat Hazard android app :-)

Also, my songs now are available in SirenSong player. Before it was empty.

This close to similar issue (same problem with a different app) might help you: https://together.jolla.com/question/14017/sonos-app-does-not-display-music-on-this-device/

It looks like different issue - reboot didn't help my problem.

Ok let's see... First, to confirm, the same songs are listed in your Media app?

Yes. I have these songs available in Media app.

In that case, this is a bug, but there are two possible workarounds:

  1. You can copy (or symlink) the music files to the android side, or other way save them to the SD card using an Android app.
  2. Re-attaching your SD card to the phone should force rebuilding the file index

In overall, Alien Dalvik on Jolla should have access to images, videos and music files saved on Sailfish side, but there seems to be a problem regarding the SD card in this case.

In current form it is not an acceptable answer, as it is fuzzy on the solution. ;-)
