Google Nest Android app - failed to connect to Nest Alarm

Did anyone try to use the Google Nest app through the Android compatibility layer? I tried to set up a Nest Alarm with my Jolla, but the phone failed to connect to the device. Is there a way to access the log files for Android apps. Maybe there is a hint to what went wrong in the logs?
