A docking station for the new tablet would be nice. these are the specs i propose:

  • minimum one digital monitor port, maybe DisplayPort
  • minimum four USB3.0-Ports
  • optional: support for jolla phone

and of course a other ui if the device is in the docking station is needed, so the using of keyboard and mouse is possible

The video shows a headphone socket opposite what I presume to be the USB and MicroSD card slot.

This will effectively force the tablet to be used in portrait mode when charging and listening to music. The rounded end design would probably make propping the tablet in this configuration impossible.

A dock that hold the tablet in landscape and connecting though the USB port would be great provided it gives plenty of support to relieve strain on the port.

Jolla Roadmapping Meeting - Friday 16.01.2015

Thank you for your contribution to the Jolla Tablet project!

We receive a lot of ideas and suggestions, which we are grateful for, but all of them can't be implemented. We've reviewed your idea and unfortunately it is not something we can implement, at least right now.

However, we will keep all suggestions, and might revisit this decision in the future if we see an opportunity to implement this feature-request in an upcoming product/SW release.

Best regards,
The Jolla Tablet Team
