Having an off-line back-up and restore Jolla native app would go a long way to preserve data, independence and privacy of Jolla Tablet users.

Similar app in N9 is prime example. Live, speedy and dependable backups on the unit itself.

Yep, also an "erase" mode to wipe all of your personal data before you return the phone for repair etc... See #privacy

We currently offer a way to copy your backed up data from the phone to memory card and restore too. We have plans to implement backing up data directly to the SD card. Will keep you posted when we have more info.
