Earlier shipping for Jolla Tablet possible?

Hi,

what about an earlier shipping for the Jolla Tablet? Any chances? Since the funding goal is already reached (in about 2 hours, just amazing!!), I thought about if you can manage it with this support to bring the Tablet a little earlier to the end-user (maybe 1-2 months)? Don't wonder, I tagged it under a "feature-request" tag, since this is a quite big request, although not related to the SW or HW of the device. :)

Indiegogo funding time was set to 21 days. Let's assume that manufacturing, supply and all other practical processes take a fixed amount of time. In theory that would leave a maximum of 21 days of flex in the release date, which is probably still undecided due to many variables.

And you're asking for 1-2 months earlier delivery? Seriously...

Even if they did manage to manufacture batches in advance, I would rather see them being polished on the OS side than shipped out to customers prior to the actual release just to please impatient customers.

We have planned to complete the OS support on the tablet in stages and will be releasing often throughout the process. Our initial focus is to get the SailfishUI resolution independent, then working towards completing the hardware adaptation to start hardware certifications. Thereafter we'll move to optimizing the UI for tablet use and then carry on with new features and enhancements. All through this process, we'll continue to do bug fixing and support the Jolla phone as well. To summarize, there is a lot to do and and we are on it."
