[Request] [Jolla Tablet] Miracast
An important feature is the ability to directly broadcast videos, music, presentation or share screens through miracast. Along with a digitizer, this would make the tablet a very interesting work tool instead of being simply a device to consume content
Indeed it would be very good (for the phone too btw.) in the absence of any physical display connection. I hope the Atom selected allows for Miracast/Intel Wireless Display. It would allow the option of an hdmi dongle or direct connectivity if the display device supports that (like the Dell M900HD).
Andre ( 2014-11-21 17:14:02 +0200 )editMiracast doesn't sound like a good idea. It uses H.264 codec internally and it has DRM (according to this: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Miracast ).
