Cheapest Other Half ?

Hi everyone I bought a jolla recently with all I had and my wallets completely empty with very less money to even buy a decent cover for the phone.

But I would like to try other halfs and also show it to my friends about why Jolla rocks ! I dont mean anything against the people who are trying to make other halfs and are trying to sell and are barely making any profit from it.

Can someone list all the links of TOH preferably sorted from cheap to costly.

  • It should be cheap
  • Preferably free EU shipping
  • It should have NFC chip ( Kind of obvious - not just a plate without any chip :P )

PS: Yes I know about Funky Other half but their store has less items and they are expensive ( atleast for me )

Hi,

shapeways, approx 12 Euros per TOH, has a lot of them created by flypig (see flypig@shapeways) that are very sensibly priced. Myself, I got the celtic knot one. Looks beautiful, unfortunately the fit of the one I received is not as good (too loose) as the original Jolla TOHs or the Solar TOH from funkyotherhalfs that I own. Especially the quality of the later impresses me to no extent, I should add.

Hope this helps!

yes, http://www.flypig.co.uk/toh/ is the place for nice colors at low prices. I have to confirm that they don't fit as well as you might hope. (bright side: it's much easier to change them if you do so very often.)

Also, they're just colored plates, no NFC stick that driggers the download of themes. (At least the ones I ordered.)

Thanks but I am still looking for NFC ones which are cheap , I want to show it off saying that there is a difference if I put another half. Having just a colour plate is not what I was looking for.

But I agree with hardware makers that they are doing it as hobby and doesn't make any profit. :(

Yeah, but then you are basically down to the cheapest solution: DIY. This is also how Dirk, Kimmo and these people started IIRC. Unfortunately, I think the market for TOH is too small for more than one "commercial" provider such as funkyotherhalf let alone a price race. Even of the solar TOH at 50 Euros only a few hundred were built and sold.

I recall a few "hobbyist" projects like the power half but that's about it...

So, you don't have any more money, your wallet is empty and you would like to 'try' some TOH's for Jolla, but your wallet is empty, so how are you going to do it?, well, you could start by searching yourself, start by using the search box here on TJC, to see there has been plenty of discussion about TOH's. https://together.jolla.com/question/76202/list-other-halves/ - so your question ultimately, is a duplicate and should be closed.

You only have to use your favourite search engine to answer this question yourself. I'm quite certain there are other threads here on TJC that do actually list sellers of TOH's in and around Europe (I couldn't find them), but there are not many and most are out of stock!, so get Googling my friend!

Within minutes, I've found these links;

I could go on, but I won't and I'll leave you to seek the cheapest price from the above.

I Googled these parameters; The Other Half Jolla 5060376200058 -jolla.com - The 13 digit number is taken from a sticker on the plastic wallet my Black TOH came in. For your reference, another wallet I have for the Aloe TOH is; 5060376200041

Hope this helps,
