Specifically by adding an additional entry in the "Deploy" menu;

  • for example "Deploy as RPM and execute Harbour validator" (which I personally favourite), OR
  • as a default sub-step of the "Deploy as RPM"

In the second case, it would always be executed, which might be time-consuming; whilst the first option might be more specific to the deploy-case, but less intuitive. @kaltsi you choose :-)

The point of this being :

  • people are EXTREMELY unaware of the existance of the Harbour validation tool
  • people seem to be reluctant to use the tool

I believe this would aid in passing Harbour QA for everyone.

As a long term target we would like even to have a nice integration with Harbour, which allows easy upload. RPM validation would then be a pre-step to the upload.

But your first option might be a nice intermediate step until we have the Harbour integration. We will look into it.

Thanks! Btw I referred to kaltsi as he was the one i happened to be in contact before for sdk matters. Is he still on the sdk?

Also I would have looked into it myself, but internals of qtcreator are too obscure -i guess it would have not been something like a separate external plugin anyway....

Hi @tortoisedoc, I'm no longer in the sdk loop, which is why I've been quiet. But don't mind me, keep on hacking! :)

@tortoisedoc if you want to accept the answer, just press the checkmark below the down-vote arrow, it turns green when you hoover with the mouse over it.
