Does anyone experience the same? 32GB vfat formated sandisk ultra. Works perfectly in PC and GT N 7000. lsblk does not list mmcblk1. Reboot does not improve. Removing the battery does.

Still happens on occasion in 2.2.0.29

I do loose the content but not the mountpoint, all data is live and there but not available from apps

I've noticed that sometimes SD card doesn't seem to get mounted at boot or something, because I can't see any media. When I remove the card for a few seconds and re-insert, all the media appears immediately.

my card gets mounted and files are accessible alright , but mount is read only. the SD card was used (and filled) on N900 before.

In my experience sd-card contacts and/or the contact pins in the device get fairly easily so dirty that the card becomes irratic or nonfunctional in some device. It still might work in other devices which makes it difficult go diagnose... :)
