I guess the only way to find out, is to buy one and try it. I'm sure I recall something being said about the headphone socket being wired back to front compared with other smartphone input/headphone jack sockets. Seeing as the socket if generally for headphones, I'd imagine that a fair bit of tinkering and additional coding/files would be needed to make something like this function, but of course, as we can see, nobody is interested, so much so, not even a single comment or vote is cast. This question may as well be closed, but then it's not doing any harm leaving it open I suppose.
