Inform user about apps closed by OOM handling
I am fine with closing apps in OOM situations, but the system should inform the user by a notifyer when that happens and which application is being closed.
We have moved to a new Sailfish OS Forum. Please start new discussions there.

I agree, if closing apps is the way to go. Personally I would prefer if it were swapped to disk and not closed.
stoft ( 2014-12-24 11:24:50 +0200 )editInstead of closing the apps, the system should put them in sleep mode while keeping them available on the Home Screen (App Switcher). In this state, maybe cover controls don't work anymore, but at least you can easily go back to that app.
It's a real PITA having to go back to the App drawer to reopen closed apps. In the current situation, we have worse multitasking than any of the other systems (i.e. no multitasking at all, or at best unreliable).
