[Request]Remorse timer for sending messages
It would be better to have an optional remorse timer on Messages app . But 2s for sending messages is OK , 5s is a bit longer .
We have moved to a new Sailfish OS Forum. Please start new discussions there.

Yes, that is nice - sometimes when trying to position cursor I hit "Send" button, thus sending not finished messages.

Edit: Ok it's not a duplicate. :) Edit2: IF this should be implemented then it only should be optional.
Alex ( 2014-12-27 10:31:47 +0200 )editI agree that this should be optional. I would go mad if I had to wait (and see the flashing remorse timer) before every message.
nodevel ( 2014-12-27 11:18:32 +0200 )editBut the beauty of remorse timer as implemented by Jolla is that you do NOT have to wait - if you want to cancel sending you tap it, if you want to send - you just swipe to the next thing you want to do and forget about it, your message will be sent.
zlatko ( 2014-12-28 06:16:46 +0200 )editYou do have to wait, five seconds in fact. You can do other things meanwhile, but if you need to send a message quickly those five seconds will be pure agony. In case of SMS I can imagine it doesn't matter that much, but try having an IM conversation where you need to wait 5 seconds for every single one of your own messages to send to the other person. Even 2 seconds as suggested by @fishegg really wouldn't be very nice. What's more, if you only have 2 seconds to regret your decision of sending the message, chances are you wouldn't even notice your mistake before the 2 seconds were over so the timer is pointless.
