stop android support automatically, when closing android app
In the app "Sailfish Utilities" you can manually stop the support for android apps. Is it possible to get the support for android apps to close automatically, when android apps are closed?
But what about apps that need to be able to receive push notifications? Doesn't the Dalvik vm need to be active to receive them?

I do not use Android on my Jolla so perhaps should just shut up but the idea that the last one out of the door turns off the lights sounds logical to me. Starting the first Android app should start Android Support, closing the last one should close it.

I dont want dalvik vm to be active while im not using the RSS reader. therefore it would be nice if dalvil vm closed at the same time the app closes. ofcourse the old settings could still be there. There could be two options to choose from :"close dalvik vm when android app closes" or "keep dalvik vm om even if all androis apps closes.

bilgy_no1 ( 2014-12-30 23:39:56 +0200 )editIt would be nice to have a selection tool, offering options as follows:
- Kill Dalvik if no Android App is running vs Keep Dalvik active anyhow
- Appwise rights managment where you can limit or allow e.g. access to contacts and hardware for apps
- Select specific Apps which are allowed to run in background, such as WhatsApp, to receive push notifications even when App is closed.
