Before buy a Jolla phone, i woud like know if the nikon wirless app (for android) is compatible with sailfish because it uses the wifi gsm and I'm afraid it does not work.

https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.nikon.wu.wmau&hl=fr_BE

And also Jolla phone is made in Finland or in Asia ?

Thank you in advance.

There is an alternative project which you can use to control your Nikon: http://dslrdashboard.info/downloads/ <- download android ARM version.

I just tried it and I got amazed! I have Nikon D5300, and worked like a charm. I think it has much more capabilities than the original Nikon application, but never got Nikon application to work since it can't use wifi of jolla phone. If you need any screenshots/ more infos, you let me know.

The Nikon WMU can be installed, but it us not possible to connect to the camera (My S9500) as Android apps cannot take control over WIFI. So no, it is not compatible.
