If I accidentally up-/down-vote a question or answer, I can reverse the action by voting the opposite way. How do I reverse upvoting a comment? Preferably without affecting my karma.

The same goes for downvoting comments to start with, without accidentally upvoting them first ;)

the software/platform for question and answers used on this site is called Askbot. Questions referring to the site itself and how it works should be tagged with "askbot" :-)

To unvote an accidental vote, just vote again in the same direction. To downvote, just hit the down arrow below the number of votes.

I hope that I understood your questions and my response helps :-)

That works for questions and answers but not for comments, such as this one. I can only upvote comments, but not dowvote or cancel my upvote. At least not on my Jolla.

@pichlo: Unfortunately, downvoting a comment isn't currently supported in Askbot. You might want to raise a feature request at http://askbot.org/en/questions/ thank you.

Well downvoting is also working for comments. You have to just 'upvote' the comment a second time and after reloading the webpage you will see that your vote is gone. So this is a bug? I always thought it was a feature. :D

@Alex: it's cancelling the vote, not downvoting per say ;)
