No way to close a jabber/xmpp conversation
I use my Jabber/XMPP account on multiple devices. If I receive a message from a friend (on my multiple devices), I can respond on my Jolla, and from that moment on, the rest of the conversion will only arrive on my Jolla. However, there is subsequently no way to end/close the conversation so that later arriving messages from that friend go to all devices again. In Empathy this for example is possible by closing the chat tab. In the Messages app I tried swiping right, closing the Messages app, to no avail. It seems some trigger is missing that notifies the client of my friend, the conversation has ended?
Maybe the telepathy channel just needs to be closed?

szobi ( 2015-01-06 22:30:14 +0200 )edit@muppeth I have to change up servers soon and will have a look at that. However, in this case that will solve the inverse problem... currently I'm fine with the fact that if I answer to a hail on the Jolla, I get all messages on the Jolla.. but there is no way I can signal the other client it shouldn't send to my Jolla only again.
@szobi When setting to offline I will not receive any start-of-conversation messages on my Jolla anymore... however, it might prove to be a workaround for closing all conversations, i.e. go offline (end all conversations), go online again (be ready to receive new conversations).
