Since yesterday I noticed very bad sound using the Android app BeyondPod. It sounds like a loose connection in my ear phones. So I tried the native gPodder and the native Media player. They both sound ok. I also tried to connect my Jolla to my home stereo and it gave the same result. Also tried to download an Android radio app and it also sounded badly with the same kind of "glitches in the sound".
I haven't noticed this before but now it is very annoying. So I guess it isn't just me. Maybe I have installed something bad. I have tried to restart Alien-Dalvik service with the KillDroid app and even tried to reboot the phone. But neither helped.
I'm using 1.1.1.27 (Vaarainjärvi)
(As a work around I created a symbolic link:
ln -s ~/android_storage/BeyondPod/Podcasts ~/Music/
and use the native Media player)
Be happy you have sound at all in Android. On my Jolla, no Android app has ever been able to produce the slightest noise.
reinouts ( 2015-01-16 12:53:16 +0200 )editI experienced the same with lot's of android podcast apps. But there are also some android apps, for which the sound is working (for example rdio).
kkdu ( 2015-01-16 14:29:21 +0200 )editI am glad it is not completely silent. Currently it is too bad for music but the sound is probably acceptable for voice navigation which I use a lot.
