I would check with file /home/nemo/\(null\).28997W and (if a text file) cat /home/nemo/\(null\).28997W what they contain, before I delete them.

seems like some app is broken and write to filesystem, what app have you runned? Android related caches maybe? Just guessing...

It could also help to move them away before you delete them. Or use lsof to check if the files are still held open by a program.

These files are all created around the upgrade to version 1.0.1.12, upgrade made 2013/12/23:17:34..

This files are image data from cover pictures of some mp3 files stored in the SD card.
The command: file (runned in the jolla) give me the correct contents of the file, my error was to check this files in my computer (Kubuntu 12.04).
I can safely erase this files.

Are you saying the files were already on the SD card and it was not Jolla (or an application running on jolla) which created them?

Or did in fact something on Jolla create them? In that case, this should be re-opened as a bug.
