I have 3 virtual keyboards installed on my Jolla. I find I am not able to use them in fingerterm. This causes me problems when trying to deal with non-English files and directories. I recieve files with different language names and I ssh to servers. For example I often ssh to servers with Japanese locale and Japanese directory names. I have no means of switching keyboard in fingerterm to easily type directory names. I would expect the same issue with Chinese users or many many other languages. Would be nice to change various keyboards in fingerterm like the rest of the OS.

This isn't the exact answer to your question, but you can create different layouts for Fingerterm and switch them from the menu.

Here is a tutorial how to add an additional layout - just edit the file yourself.

I am actually glad that Fingerterm doesn't use the default virtual keyboard, as the default one is still broken and pops up even if an external keyboard is connected.
