Will Jolla fix file browsing and in-file search in the browser?

When I browse the local file system, the browser downloads files already on my Jolla to the downloads directory. This is a neat way to duplicate files but unfortunately not what I need the browser to do. Please enable me to make local files open the program linked to their mimetype, like PDFs in the Document viewer (when it has been installed).
To this and other user-configurable ends, please let me filter webpages by regular expression so instead of getting the whole about:config pages (which involves metres of swishy hand movements to navigate), for example, I can get to where I need, assuming I know what to look for.
This could be implemented as s:/*/ uri to search text and attributes, s:/*/sub/ uri to do substitution, and x:/*/ uri to search the markup tagnames as well (the whole content). This could run sed by link on the uri (local or net) and display the result.
This is not a duplicate.
So what is it you need to do? You know that there are file managers to browse disks content, do you? E.g. for Jolla, there is "File Browser" in the store, give it a try!

are missing already in browser although have lot of vote support. So unlikely to see your request implemented in near future...
anandrkris ( 2015-02-05 10:32:16 +0200 )editfilemanager on store is 3d party app, for those who preffer clean phone with jolla only apps, there was or will be jolla-fileman in repo, but it doesnt work except that it hangs on white screen, so i using jolla-fileman package as display spotlight :) someworkarround to keep my jolla clean out of mail attachments and another junk i built midnight-commander , infile search too.. :p
