In current browser version it's not possible to move around when typing text in HTML textarea elements or in input elements. This make typing larger text using browser very difficult - for example in the facebook touch inteface.

Please see https://together.jolla.com/question/4069/del-and-cursor-arrows-keyboard-are-needed-essential/ and https://together.jolla.com/question/1103/bug-keyboard-in-the-browser-covers-input-fields/ - possibly reported already in these two questions?

No they handle different things.

Arrow keys are typically not used in touch interfaces (no need) - and they can probably be easily implemented in the keyboard layout.

Second link is about covering the web page with the text input - totally different bug and it did not happen to me (yet).

Maybe I didn't get your point; browser allows jumping to different position in textarea by tapping the new position and panning the page is also possible. It doesn't allow scrolling the textarea text -- something that was discussed in the URLs above (please note the comment threads).

Although browser does allow jumping, it does not allow scrolling or selecting/copying text in input boxes. Something that should have been there since day one.

There is a number of related issues, all to do with the keyboard. But it doesn't work the same way in browser and in other apps. I believe this here is the same issue as I described here: https://together.jolla.com/question/15795/text-editing-in-browser-is-lacking-features/
