While i try my best to not use android apps (battery life :( ), there are still some i need on a daily basis.
Personal opinion: it be great if open android apps were transparent like jolla apps. I use whatsapp and telegram for friends and family, and need to keep them open to get notifications, and they look terrible next to jolla's.

we have a native telegram app at open repos . Name is Sailgram i think but there is no word about the whatsapp app from coderous.
Have not herd of Sailgram, will look in to it RIGHT NOW !!!!, but have tried out Jollagram. Its not stable enough i feel. But to be fair, I'm totally open to any thing that's a sailfish option over android, but the one thing that makes sailfish appealing to new comers (or at least the people I'm pushing towards sailfish) is that they/we can say 'hey, we don't have this yet but we got android covered' . It would make android and sailfish blend in better :) , at least for me. i don't mind the android interface when i need to use it, but if i don't and still need an app open, it would be cool for it not to look hideous :)
