I would like to have a brightness slider on moods. To be able to change and save different levels of screen brightness for each mood. One for outside, inside and the most important, one for night. The one that won't notify on emails, sms etc. and rings quieter.

Some evenings I use the phone before going to bed and hate the bright screen keeping me awake after. Or checking the phone in the middle of the night, dimmer setting would be nice. And getting all those: tones, screen brightness and maybe more, adjusted with just one gesture and push of the screen would be great.

thanks!

Nice idea! Mood = ambience

Thank you for saying it so simply:-)

Now that I started thinking about it there should be vibration on/off too. Preferably indivitually adjustable for each function.

As @lakutalo answered, more settings are coming to the Ambiences. At least some connictivity switches, but hopefully screen settings too.

The features you are requesting would be great to have with SFOS. And actually according to Jaako Roppola they are planned to be available in future utilising ambiences: https://together.jolla.com/question/397/screenborder-swipe/?answer=9299#post-id-9299

But there is another solution you could make use of already right now. The app Situations from Jolla app store is capable of exactly what you need. You just have to create different profiles according to time-of-day, suitable to your needs. The only disadvantage of this app is that it might drain your battery slightly faster when activated.

And the Situations can't change Ambiences - at least not yet. But otherwise it's a good solution for now. :) And I've used it for a while now and haven't seen that much battery drainage. Of course it depends what switches are in use, GPS uses more that Cell ID location etc.. But during the night (approx 8-10 hours without usage) the battery drains between 8-12%, so I find this acceptable for idle use. :)

Thank you for the answers. I am overhelmed how fast the community replied and happy to have a solution. I will download and try the situations app until Sailfish updates will do the job.

We are going to have three-finger-flick for adjusting volume with Sailfish OS 2.0 - I'd like to suggest similar two-finger-flick for screen brightness as another solution for this. However, the setting in gallery>ambiences (suggested in the question) is not a bad option either - either would do the job.

For me, adjusting screen brightness manually is even more often used than adjusting volume, so I find this question nice and important.
