Automatically Switch on Lock Screen

Using mce-tools, it's possible to automatically display something looking like the lock screen when you take the phone out of the pocket (i.e. when the proximity sensor is uncovered).
Unfortunately, it's not really the lock screen, so for getting to the lock screen you still need to double-tap or press a button.
I would find it very useful if I could configure in the display settings to automatically switch on the lock screen by the proximity sensor. This way I could take the phone out of the pocket and directly unlock it.
