I would like to have the option to use a 24 hour dial when setting alarms. ...with a darker part for the night hours.

The 12h dial is very good, but as an option it should be possible to have 24h dial too!

BTW it should be possible to do that as a QML tweak too. (but havve not checked that...)

... or even a 24-hour clock option, for all things involving time!
(It should definitely be an option - i.e. not mandatory - though.)

For example, see the Android app "24h Analog Clock" (e.g. on F-Droid)

A widget that provides a resizable 24 hour analog clock, with noon at the top and midnight at the bottom. The widget passively accesses the phone's location and if it gets a fix, will display sunrise, sunset, and twilight times on the clock face.

(I actually wished for this, "but just as a clock", in the comment section for the Sailfish OS app "Swiss Clock" in the Jolla Store.
The Android app works on Jolla, but only when opened (not as a live cover), ,and at least when I last tried, the location function didn't work.)

A 24h analog clock face would need to be visually different to a 12h one. ...but how? Having midnight at the bottom sounds like a good starting point. Could the hands be short lines on the in- and outside of a circle?

Please note that there's no need to create a new clock face for the alarm setting. It's simply a circular dial and would be fine just as it is. Marking the night hours would not be necessary but nice.

Maybe karma is only calculated a few times a day or something - whatever it is please convert this answer to a comment or better open a new post if the problem persists, this really is not an answer to your question don't you think?
