tl;dr How can I send screen output to a file or another device?

Say there's something I want to screen record and share. How would I do this on a Sailfish device? The only output of concern is exactly what would display onscreen. No compression, just the actual output, pixel for pixel over time.

Regarding the issue of uncompressedness, how much activity (counted as # pixel change rate or total pixel changes per minute, for example) could a fresh phone installatipn take before it would near the limits of memory available to the given program or subsystems?

Seriously, is there nothing via the Jolla Store GUI that can do this? I love following instructions on Github as much as the next guy, by I had been hoping for a tap to install solution or link.

You could also try TeamViewer for android. It should serve all your needs and a lot more but I guess it will utilise compression for performance reason. It is available for almost all operating systems and it is kind of tap to install as you wished.

Thanks. To compare with tap-to-app approach, what minimum set of shell commands would I need to set up a screen sharing situation? Would a script need to be longer than ten lines to do this?

Possible, but I cannot tell if you can set up a shared screen only by CL with the mentioned app. AFAIK input is (mainly) done by UI.
