More languages in Jolla Harbour
I think developers should be able to describe their apps in as many languages as they want (even if the staff won't be able to fully verify those descriptions). Currently only available seem to be English and Finish.
I think that at a very least we should be able to choose any language that the device supports. So assuming by keyboard layouts the minimal list would be:
- Dansk (DA)
- Deutsch (DE)
- English (EN)
- Español (ES)
- Suomi (FI)
- Français (FR)
- Italiano (IT)
- Norsk (NO)
- Polski (PL)
- Русский (RU)
- Svenska (SV)
- 中文(拼音) (ZH_CN)
BTW If - for whatever reason - you (as the Jolla staff) need to verify descriptions before publishing, then you can always use Google Translate to get a rough translation. That should be enough to verify if all translations mean more or less the same.
Edit: Just to clarify - this request is NOT about adding Google Translate to the Harbour. This is about an ability to provide human made translations to description. For example I was not able to add my native language to app description. And so I had to add Polish description inside the English one.
I think you should edit the title ("lanaguages") and add tags like translation, local, ... in order to avoid duplicated questions. But I agree with your suggestion

Nux ( 2014-01-03 13:17:55 +0200 )editAgree apart from the last bit.
Please no Google translated text into store. No translation is better than Google translation.
Rauha ( 2014-01-03 13:19:37 +0200 )editI think he was talking about Google translation to try to check that all texts in different languages means the same thing.
TeHeR ( 2014-01-03 13:31:41 +0200 )editI meant that the stuff could use Google translate to check descriptions (if they need to). I agree that automatic translations should not be shown to users (unless maybe they explicitly demand it with some switch or button).
