I have my own Radicale calendar server set up. It's configured to use https with a self-signed cert. I can access it fine from Thunderbird (having accepted the security exception) but trying to set up the account on my jolla phone fails with:

Oops, problem with account creation. Could not create account.

Grateful for any suggestions (hoping it's not as simple as jolla doesn't accept self-signed certs?!?).

For reference, config params entered as per this post:

  • Server address: https://<hostname>:5232
  • Calendar path: /

Thanks.

There is an option "ignore ssl (or cert) errors". That could help. Before that option existed, you had to open your https://server-address in the webbrowser and accept your cert. Which is basically a good idea, because of security. The error you get also could mean: wrong user and/or pass and/or url scheme. See here for the right url syntax: https://together.jolla.com/question/534/implemented-in-10716-support-for-caldav-based-calendars-eg-google-calendar-released/?answer=45133#post-id-45133 edit: sorry my link is for owncloud calendars...

CalDAV should work with self-signed certificates (if you checked "ignore SSL errors").

The problem is most probably that the port is not respected, as stated in this post (also have a look at the answer).

Apart from that you can have a look at what's going wrong on the phone, with developer mode enabled. I wrote instructions some time ago.

I hope that helps!

For me it works after I visited the server with the browser and accepted the certificate there.
