How to update latest firmware? [answered]
Hi sailors,
I've skipped the 1.1.4.29 update and would like to jump directly to the latest one (1.1.6) but I only see the 1.1.4. How to force check for latest update?
Thanks, -df

Jolla has recommended to always update via Settings on the phone as the first option, but when there have been problems like unfinished install, see for example answer here: https://together.jolla.com/question/91987/11429-already-out-stuck-with-28-and-old-lake-photo/
However, I wouldn't recommend to skip an update in purpose, unless there's something you want to avoid. If possible, use the Settings and update to the next available version offered there first.
There's a number of reasons where one might be forced to skip one update, e.g. when there's no network connection. Each firmware must always come with a full image (not a diff to previous version) hence I don't see a reason to follow each and every version up to the latest one especially that update process is - still - not perfect and comes with a risk. Cheers.

, rebooting (or killing the store-client
process) and then doing again the update check.
Note: since 1.1.4 this isn't needed anymore as there is an option to check for newer updates in case one has been already found.

Make available OS images and flashing tools
Always reset Jolla to the latest firmware(not the factory version)
Release optional unlocked bootloader
