I just visited a website with a CAcert certificate. The stock browser warned about an untrusted connection, and I selected "Technical Details" expecting technical details. Unfortunately, the information given was limited to: "$DOMAIN uses an invalid security certificate. The certificate is not trusted because the issuer certificate is unknown. (Error code: sec_error_unknown_issuer)"

I need to get more details about the certificate in order to decide if I want to trust it.

This bothers me too. Today I attempted connecting to LAN server which is not even excepted to have valid certificate and I wondered if I could check the certificate fingerprint from both server and Sailfish and then add the permanent exception, but I am not given the certificate fingerprint in any form.

This can also be issue with private IRC bouncers which usually don't have valid certificate either.
