EDIT: it is now more than a year since Flattr has announced their plans to switch to Mangopay, AFAIK there still is no ETA. Their replies on Twitter remain vague. Paypal support has been removed long time ago.

Please consider a generic or common solution for app developers, instead of binding them to a third party which requires its users to bind to a fourth party (Skrill).

Flattr support is nice for those who want to use Flattr. However, the vast majority of developers prefers Paypal for donations, probably because the vast majority of donators uses Paypal for donations. Also, Flattr demands creators to have an additional Skrill/Moneybookers account if they actually want to withdraw money.

So, what about adding the possibility to add a Paypal account instead of a Flattr account? Or just a generic donation URL, leaving it up to the developer to decide which service(s) they want to use.

I remember Skrill(earlier Moneybookers) from blocking the account of WikiLeaks, but Flattr has announced they're replacing Skrill with Mangopay. The system integration allows transfers directly to the creators bank account.

Thanks for the heads-up... so I would need to register with Skrill to withdraw money now, and again with Mangopay to withdraw money later. phew :-/

No you wouldn't, as it'll be integrated into the system. You withdraw the money from Flattr to bank, and Mangopay is an invisible 3rd party there in between.

Besides, PayPal were another one of the banks that blocked WikiLeaks, if possible I would like to support alternatives.
