[Request] Avoid bandwidth throttling by automatic restart network connections
I use my Jolla's 4G mobile broadband connection as wifi hotspot for all my other computers by enabling its internet sharing feature. It works perfect on daily bases with speeds of up to 45 Mbits/s but only until 3pm, where data speed drops to 0.020 Mbits/s and remains slow until midnight, when high speeds are restored again.
This means that most of the evenings internet is too slow to even browse any website or to try using streaming services or Netflix. After researching the problem it is a clear case that my network operator is throttling my connection and it is explained in detail by this identical case: http://forums.digitalspy.co.uk/showthread.php?t=1904391
I noticed that using the restart network connections utility in the Jolla settings reestablishes the high speed of data connection temporally. My request is if someone could write a script or a tool which could detect big drops in the internet speed and automatically would restart the network connection, instead of me doing it manually every 5-10 minutes. This could save me a lot of time, and alleviate the deliberate disruption caused by my network provider (three UK). Thanks
