TOHKBD general availability and new production batches [duplicate]

Hi, back when the TOHKBD project hit kickstarter I remember reading that once the backers received the keyboards it would have been possible to buy a TOHKBD for 130€.

Now looking on funkyOH website it seems that there is no plan to continue production on TOHKBD v2.

TOHBKBD2 - IN NO UNCLEAR TERMS, THIS ITEM IS NO LONGER POSSIBLE TO BUY OR PREORDER. THE ITEM IS OUT OF STOCK, PERMANENTLY. IT IS NO MORE. THE PRODUCT LINE HAS BEEN SHUT DOWN AFTER CURRENT BATCH..

Is there an intention to have a new production sometime in the future, maybe by the end of the year?

After all Jolla can now pick up the project and "just" manage the manufacturing part, no significant design is required.

If no more batches are planned, where can I look to buy one from a backer? I looked on ebay, no luck.

i'm not sure how anyone can be clearer than what you've already quoted from the maker of the TOHKBD

a few have cropped up on talk.maemo.org, but not many.

it's clear, but 1. Jolla may pick it up 2. I don't know where to look for someone who wants to sell the tohkbd.

You have probably read that part of TOHKBDFAQ, too? As Jolla decided that they won't be producing devices in the future, I doubt they'll pick up production of 3rd-party TOHs. But AFAIK, all parts of the project are open source (including hardware and software), so maybe you could try to pick it up yourself?

@simo@r0kk3rz I don't think this is a duplicate. The fact that Dirk, Kimmo and Andrew won't produce more batches doesn't mean that noone ever will, that's what @c.la was asking about.
