Bug: Email app cover only shows number of unread mails in currently selected folder

If you have multiple folders in your email inbox, the cover of the email app will only show the number of unread emails in the folder that is currently selected in the email app.

This is absolutely bad because if you are expecting new messages in multiple folders, the app gives you the false sense of having received no emails in any folders. So you have to go in and manually check all folders, which is a big hassle.

Here's my suggestion:

  • User should be able to select which folders to sync, and they should be synced automatically
  • App cover should show the total number of unread emails in all the synced folders of all accounts
