While I do appreciate the connectivity of a smartphone, I miss the option I had in Symbian to use a data connection (mobile / wi-fi) only when needed.
It would be nice if there was an option for this which would also help save battery by only going online from to time (to refresh e-mails and other notifications). Currently, it seems to me that the phone stays connected to the internet at all times, as long as there is a connection available.
I have seen similar posts related to the internet connection, but I think they describe different issues: https://together.jolla.com/question/8877/manually-select-internet-connection-legacy-option/ https://together.jolla.com/question/5309/allow-to-set-wlan-or-mobile-data-preference/
