Screen timeout

Sometimes while using browser and reading say a news article, the screen times out and upon double tap it takes me back to the start screen and I have to swipe down and then back to the browser. Its a little bit annoying.

An idea would be if an device is woken up within say 3 seconds it would not go back to the start screen.

Or like certain android phones, they use the front camera to see if someone is looking at the device. I can imagine that would involve some patent work though ;)
