When you create an event in a calendar or set an alarm, the parameters of that event should be accessible as the time of the event approaches. This would itself be a configurable feature of the event set up and interaction once the event becomes available.
A simple example would be a repeating alarm. This would to allow the user to cancel the alarm five minutes prior to it going off without affecting the main alarm configuration and thus the next repeat occurs on schedule and without hindrance from the user interacting with the main configuration. Or you could postpone a meeting without needing to find it in your calendars.

When you create an event in a calendar event or set an alarm, there is a parameter to define how long before the actually event/alarm occurs that it becomes visible to the user as a notification and in that manner interactive. This interactive notification would allow the user to directly change parameters of that the specific up coming event should or alarm and the parent event or alarm would only be accessible as the time of the event approaches. This would itself be a configurable feature of the event set up and interaction once the event becomes available.changed by explicit instruction.
