When the events view is activated from home or launcher screen or any application, leaving it with an up or down swipe will get you to the view you were before and a side swipe will take you to the home screen. But if you activate the events view from the lock screen all swipes will take you to the home screen.

Sometimes I just look at notifications but don't act on them and then I want to go back to the lock screen to have my Jolla to sleep fast (and don't have to do a swipe down to close the screen).
Edit: added information that the launcher view is also affected.

There's always the side swipe available if you want to go from the events view to the home screen.
