Don't turn on the display when new e-mail arrives

I am trying to achieve the following: I want my Jolla C to synchronize with my e-mail account an display the presence of new mails in the notifications (no problem here). But I don't want the phone to actively draw my attention to asynchronous communication like e-mail.

I don't want the phone to

The last one is giving me troubles. I have no idea how to prevent the display from turning on if new mail arrives. Any help is appreciated. Once I have solved this issue I will write all things I've done in a short howto.

Update 09.08.2016

I fiddled with the /usr/share/lipstick/notificationcategories/x-nemo.email.*.confwithout any success. I have the feeling I might be on the right track but don't understand the meaning of the settings in these files. So I guess I'll just give up and be happy with disabled vibration and led notification.
